BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (March 22, 2010)—Associated Milk Producers Inc. is reporting record-shattering numbers in milk volume and sales growth for 2009. According to President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Welch, A-M-P-I members marketed a record
6 billion pounds of milk last year. The dairy co-op also enjoyed record sales of consumer-packaged dairy products.

A-M-P-I Chairman of the Board Paul Toft, who is a dairy farmer from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, says the cooperative is aggressively working to influence policies that will reduce the volatility experienced this past year.
