Wisconsin dairy producers to lead group
NEW ULM, Minn. (March 30, 2010)—David and Robin Trott of Ladysmith, Wis., were elected the 2010 Young Cooperator (YC) chairpersons for Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI). The members of this leading Midwest dairy cooperative began their one-year term during the AMPI Annual Meeting held in March.
“We are proud to be part of the AMPI Young Cooperator program,” said David Trott, AMPI YC chairperson and a dairy farmer from Ladysmith, Wis. “It provides an opportunity for young AMPI member-owners to take a more active role in the dairy marketing business we own.”
The Trotts and their fellow YC steering committee members will lead the group in the coming year. Other members of the committee are: past chairpersons, Bill and Merri Post, Chandler, Minn.; vice chairpersons, Phillip and Stacey Rotz, Pelican Rapids, Minn.; secretaries, Mark and Angie Qual, Lisbon, N.D.; and members-at-large, Aaron and Jessica Radermacher, Brooten, Minn.
YCs who will serve as division chairpersons include: Gary and Jenny Johnson, Waukon, Iowa; Derek and Marcie Peterson, Black River Falls, Wis.; John and Tammy Morgal, Cadott, Wis.; Al and Brenda Grunhovd, Gary, Minn.; Albert and Erin Holker, Litchfield, Minn.; Paul and Nicki Schriever, Harmony, Minn.; and Jeremy and Patricia VanEss, Sanborn, Iowa.
Nearly 70 young AMPI members took part in the annual meeting. The gathering is one of many educational events available through the YC program, open to members age 40 and under. |
